In cosmetics applications, Castor Oil can be used in creams & lotions, body butters, soaps and massage products . Try a skin patch test prior to apply. Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight. Castor oil, like other good quality unrefined oils, have a thick earthy or nutty smell. This might be intense when you first open the bottle but will be mild once applied to skin. You can also mix a few drops of other essential oils like peppermint or rosemary to lighten the smell.
